![]() Couldn't measure any difference with or without them. Again, going from the lowest to the highest I could barely measure any difference. It really does have very little impact on performance, I couldn't see any difference in terms of fps when using it. Now, for things that I thought had and impact but they really don't **After reading a little bit more, Snes9x 2005 is probably faster emulating games but compatibility might not be as good. SNES: Snex9x 2010 (Preferably) and Snes9x 2005 Plus, if Snes9x 2010 doesn't work (Some ROM Hacks don't run properly).**. ![]() The cores you use also make a difference, I'm using the following cores: *Speed will vary based on the game you're playing as well as the system, I tested playing The Caslevania Games on NES, SNES, GB and GBA, The Final Fantasy games on GBA, Donkey Kong Country on the SNES and The Sonic games on Genesis, all of them with more or less the same results, SNES and Genesis were the slowest but still +60fps at all times after disabling Rewind Support. It does improve performance but according to what it says below it increases latency and stuttering, I haven't run into any problems when using it but keep that in mind. ![]() After disabling rewind support Video Filters had no impact on normal gameplay, they do however have impact when fast-forwarding but it's not that big of a deal, when using Normal4x I'm still able to get +100fps* (a little bit more than 1.5x normal speed). With Rewind Support disabled I'm able to get +170fps* (around 3x normal speed) when using Fast-Forward (with no filters enabled). Seriously, it's probably the thing that impacted the most when playing, most SNES and GBA games I was playing were constantly between 45 and 55 fps, therefore trying to Fast-Forward the game would do nothing. This one is probably the most obvious of all, using any plugging that you like to overclock the vita, it will consume more battery but games will run signifcatively better. I wanted to share a couple of tweaks you can make to boost performance on the vita. I followed several guides on how to set up RetroArch and they all do more or less the same. So, I have played several games on RetroArch using the vita, performance hasn't been great.
